The combination of open compressor and external standard motors makes the entire series exceptionally flexible and facilitates operation at different supply voltages. With the corresponding accessories such as couplings and coupling housing, BITZER ensures a simple and secure connection between compressor and external standard motor. Another advantage is that the refrigerant circuit and electrical drive are separate, which simplifies maintenance and repair, promoting utilisation in many special applications in particular, including in the chemistry and pharmaceutical industries, and resulting in the use of OS screw compressors on ships.
